Automatic Knife postioning system
An AKPS is a precision system that automatically positions slitting knives (shear, score, or razor) on a slitter rewinder. Instead of manual adjustment, the system uses servo motors or pneumatic actuators to move knives based on preset job recipes, greatly reducing setup time and improving accuracy.

How does an automatic knife positioning system work?
The system is controlled by a PLC. We developed the program ourselves. You only need to input the slitting width from the HMI, and once the working device receives the command, the servo motor will drive the blade holder movement along the ball screw.
