What Is an Automatic Robotic Palletizing System
Automate the final stage of your thermal paper roll converting line with robotic case packing, automatic carton folding and BOPP tape sealing. The system transfers finished thermal paper rolls directly from production into cartons, helping manufacturers reduce manual handling and achieve a more efficient end-of-line packaging process.
How Does a Robotic Case Packing System Handle Thermal Paper Rolls?
In a thermal paper roll production line, the packaging process begins immediately after the rolls leave the upstream equipment. Instead of being collected and packed manually, the finished rolls are transferred automatically to the robotic packaging station.

The entire workflow is designed to provide a continuous and organized packaging process with minimal manual handling.
Step 1. Thermal Paper Rolls Enter the Conveyor System
Finished thermal paper rolls are discharged from the production line onto the conveyor system. The conveyor transports the rolls in an orderly sequence to the robotic loading station while maintaining a continuous product flow.
Step 2. The Robotic Arm Picks the Thermal Paper Rolls
At the loading station, the robotic arm uses a vacuum gripper to pick one or multiple thermal paper rolls from the conveyor. The gripping system transfers the rolls smoothly without manual intervention.
Step 3. The Robot Places the Rolls into the Carton Box
Before loading begins, the carton folding machine has already opened and pre-folded an empty carton. The robotic arm places the thermal paper rolls into the prepared carton according to the preset packing pattern and required quantity.
Step 4. The Filled Carton Moves to the Sealing Station
Once the programmed number of thermal paper rolls has been loaded, the carton is automatically conveyed to the next station for sealing.
Step 5. Automatic BOPP Tape Sealing
The automatic case sealing machine applies BOPP tape to close the carton, producing a consistent package ready for storage or shipment.

Key Components of the Packaging System

01
Carton Folding Machine
The carton folding machine prepares each carton before the robotic loading process begins. Flat carton blanks are automatically erected and pre-folded into the correct position, creating a stable container ready to receive the thermal paper rolls. By supplying cartons continuously to the robotic station, the system helps maintain a smooth and uninterrupted packaging workflow.
02
Robotic Arm
The robotic arm is the core of the automatic packaging system. It receives thermal paper rolls directly from the conveyor, uses a vacuum gripper to pick the required quantity, and accurately transfers them into the pre-folded carton. Once the carton is filled, it is automatically conveyed to the case sealing station for the next packaging step.

03
Carton Sealing Machine
After the robotic arm finishes loading the programmed quantity of thermal paper rolls, the carton is automatically transferred to the sealing station. The case sealing machine folds the remaining carton flaps and applies BOPP tape to create a secure and consistent package. The sealed cartons are then discharged from the line, ready for warehousing, palletizing or shipment.
