The Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has joined the Australian Food & Grocery Council (AFGC) as a member, formalising a long-standing partnership between the two organisations.
Focus on Packaging Skills and Sustainability
AIP said the partnership will help AFGC members improve knowledge in areas such as:
- technical packaging
- sustainable packaging design
- recycle-ready packaging
- save food packaging
- packaging reform readiness
Why It Matters
As Australia’s packaging sector faces stronger sustainability expectations and reform pressures, food and grocery manufacturers need practical technical support.
The partnership aims to help companies close packaging knowledge gaps and respond to regulatory and market changes with greater confidence.
Industry Insight
This collaboration reflects a broader trend: packaging sustainability is becoming a technical capability issue, not only a policy issue.
Manufacturers increasingly need guidance on material selection, recyclability, food protection and compliance-ready design.
