Turkish yarn producer Göliplik Şeremet Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is entering the nonwovens sector through the installation of a new Wetlace™ production line supplied by ANDRITZ.
The project will enable Göliplik to manufacture high-quality nonwoven roll goods for the growing market of bio-based and flushable wipes.
Commissioning Scheduled for Late 2026
According to the companies, erection and commissioning of the complete neXline Wetlace™ system will begin during the fourth quarter of 2026.
The line is designed to produce sustainable wipe substrates that combine performance with environmental benefits, supporting increasing demand for plastic-free and flushable hygiene products.
The project is progressing according to schedule through close cooperation between the two companies.
Strategic Move into Nonwovens
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Bursa, Türkiye, Göliplik currently operates four manufacturing facilities producing a wide range of blended yarns.
The investment marks a significant diversification beyond its traditional textile business and positions the company within the expanding nonwovens and hygiene products sector.
Company President Erdogan Seremet described the project as a major step in the company’s growth strategy and sustainability ambitions.
Technology and Training Support
As part of the implementation process, Göliplik’s operational team will receive specialized training at ANDRITZ’s nonwovens technology center in France.
Additional on-site training will be conducted before start-up to support commissioning and operational readiness.
According to Tobias Schäfer, structured project management, engineering coordination and transparent communication have supported progress throughout the project.
Growing Demand for Sustainable Wipes
The investment reflects broader market trends toward:
- Bio-based nonwoven materials
- Flushable wipe solutions
- Plastic reduction initiatives
- Sustainable hygiene products
- Circular economy packaging and materials
As regulations and consumer expectations increasingly favor environmentally responsible products, manufacturers continue investing in advanced nonwoven technologies capable of producing sustainable alternatives to conventional wipe materials.
Industry Outlook
The global wipes market is undergoing a transition toward renewable and flushable substrates, creating new opportunities for textile manufacturers seeking diversification into higher-value nonwoven applications.
With the new Wetlace line, Göliplik aims to establish a position in this growing segment while leveraging its existing expertise in fiber processing and manufacturing.
