GUIGANG, CHINA — Guangxi Zhongsheng Paper Co., Ltd. has successfully started up its No. 4 tissue paper machine, marking the completion of the company’s planned production capacity expansion and strengthening its position in China’s tissue paper market.
The newly commissioned machine produced its first parent reel following a successful start-up, completing the installation of the company’s four-machine tissue production project.
New Crescent Former Increases Tissue Production Capacity
The No. 4 tissue machine was supplied by Xi’an Weiya and features a crescent former design.

The machine forms part of Guangxi Zhongsheng Paper’s investment in modern, intelligent tissue manufacturing aimed at improving production efficiency and product quality.
Expansion Project Reaches Full Production Configuration
With the start-up of the fourth tissue machine, Guangxi Zhongsheng Paper has completed its planned production system.
The company said the fully operational production platform will enable it to:
- Strengthen quality control
- Improve manufacturing efficiency
- Increase the benefits of large-scale production
- Expand its competitiveness in the tissue paper sector
The investment also supports the continued development of the regional paper industry through higher production efficiency and modern manufacturing technologies.
Two-Phase Tissue Project
The tissue production project is located in the Guigang Guangdong–Guangxi Industrial Park.
Developed in two phases, the project includes:
- Four tissue parent reel production lines
- Supporting facial tissue converting lines for soft-pack products
- Annual tissue production capacity: 50,000 tonnes
The facility occupies approximately 100 mu (about 6.7 hectares).
Supporting Regional Industrial Development
Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate:
- 50,000 tonnes of premium tissue paper annually
- Approximately RMB 450 million in annual output value
- More than 100 new jobs
The completion of the fourth tissue machine represents an important milestone in Guangxi Zhongsheng Paper’s expansion strategy as it continues to increase production capacity and strengthen its presence in China’s growing tissue paper market.
