Lecta Termax thermal paper

Lecta has expanded its Termax range of high-substance thermal papers with new non top-coated and top-coated grades developed specifically for ticketing and identification applications.

The new products are designed to meet growing demand for durable, high-caliper thermal papers used in event access, transport, logistics and retail environments.

New Termax Grades

The expanded range includes:

  • Termax TFX — non top-coated, phenol-free
  • Termax TFS — non top-coated, BPA-free
  • Termax TC30X — top-coated, phenol-free

The products are available in 170 and 172 g/m².

Target Applications

Lecta says the new thermal papers are suitable for:

  • admission tickets
  • access-control tickets
  • transport tickets
  • boarding passes
  • parking tickets
  • logistics data-carrier tags
  • product identification labels
  • supermarket shelf labels

Performance Features

The new Termax grades offer:

  • excellent double-sided preprintability
  • strong image stability
  • improved durability
  • high substance and high caliper
  • flexible use across multiple thermal printing markets

The non top-coated versions provide a cost-effective option, while the top-coated grade offers improved resistance to environmental conditions.

Sustainability and Certification

All Termax products are manufactured under major management standards, including:

  • ISO 14001
  • EMAS
  • ISO 50001
  • ISO 9001
  • ISO 45001

They are also available on request with PEFC or FSC® Chain of Custody certification.

Industry Insight

Lecta’s Termax expansion reflects a broader trend in thermal paper: buyers increasingly want materials that combine print quality, durability, regulatory compliance and certification options.

For ticketing, transport and logistics applications, thermal paper is no longer judged only by print sensitivity. Long-term readability, resistance and responsible sourcing are becoming central purchasing criteria.
