HUNG YEN, Vietnam — Minhan Paper Joint Stock Company has awarded ANDRITZ a contract to supply a complete old corrugated containers (OCC) recycling line for its paper mill in Hung Yen province, supporting the company’s continued expansion in recycled packaging paper production.
The new line is scheduled to start up in the first half of 2027. Financial terms of the order were not disclosed.
Second OCC Line Strengthens Partnership
The latest order marks Minhan Paper’s second OCC recycling line from ANDRITZ, reflecting the company’s confidence in the supplier’s recycled fiber processing technology.
According to Minhan Paper, the strong performance and operational stability of its first ANDRITZ OCC line influenced its decision to select the company again as it expands production capacity.
Integrated Recycling System Enhances Fiber Recovery
The new OCC line will provide a fully integrated recycled fiber processing solution covering the entire production process from pulping to refining.
The project includes:
- ANDRITZ FibreSolve low-consistency pulper
- Multi-stage screening and cleaning systems
- Reject dewatering equipment
- Paper machine approach system
- Broke handling system
- Disc filter saveall system for white water treatment and fiber recovery
The system is designed to improve fiber recovery, reduce fiber loss, increase impurity removal efficiency and optimize resource utilization during recycled paper production.
Expanding Containerboard Production
The new recycling line will produce 700 tonnes per day of corrugating medium, while the broke handling system will have a capacity of 100 tonnes per day.
The investment supports Minhan Paper’s strategy to strengthen its position in Vietnam’s growing packaging sector, where demand for recycled containerboard continues to increase alongside e-commerce and industrial packaging applications.
Supporting Sustainable Packaging Growth
Founded in 2020, Minhan Paper specializes in the production of corrugated paper, paperboard and containerboard products.
The latest investment reflects the broader trend across Southeast Asia of expanding recycled fiber capacity to improve resource efficiency and support the growing demand for sustainable packaging materials.
