ATLANTA — Graphic Packaging Holding Company has entered the uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) market with the launch of PaceSetter Ridgeline, expanding its recycled paperboard portfolio to serve industrial and specialty packaging applications.
The new grade is designed for a wide range of end uses, including paper cores, edge protectors, folding cartons, tubes, laminations and other specialty packaging products.
100% Recycled Fiber for Industrial Applications
PaceSetter Ridgeline is manufactured from 100% recycled fiber and contains at least 45% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, supporting growing demand for recycled packaging materials across industrial markets.
According to Graphic Packaging, the new product broadens its ability to serve customers beyond traditional consumer packaging by offering a recycled paperboard solution tailored for high-volume converting applications.
Flexible Manufacturing Supports Market Demand
The new paperboard grade is produced at the company’s Waco, Texas paperboard mill.
Graphic Packaging said the facility can efficiently switch between coated and uncoated recycled paperboard production, allowing it to respond more quickly to changing customer requirements and market demand.
The company added that the manufacturing technology is designed to deliver consistent sheet squareness, color uniformity and converting performance for industrial packaging applications.
Portfolio Diversification Strategy
President and CEO Robbert Rietbroek said the launch expands the company’s recycled paperboard platform into new markets while strengthening its industrial packaging offering.
The introduction of PaceSetter Ridgeline reflects continued investment in recycled fiber products as packaging manufacturers seek sustainable materials for both consumer and industrial applications.
The launch follows recent leadership changes at Graphic Packaging, including the appointment of Larry Venturelli as chairman of the board in June.
