Pretium Packaging Greensboro facility

New Mountain Capital has acquired an industrial property occupied by Pretium Packaging in Greensboro, North Carolina, for $11 million, highlighting continued investor confidence in the region’s industrial manufacturing market.

The transaction involves a 133,141-square-foot manufacturing facility located at 3240 North O. Henry Boulevard, which serves as Pretium Packaging’s Greensboro production site. The property sits on 5.53 acres and was purchased from DBA Advisors, according to records filed with the Guilford County Register of Deeds.

Facility Supports Plastic Packaging Production

The Greensboro site is operated by Pretium Packaging, a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic bottles, jars, closures and custom packaging products serving a range of consumer and industrial markets.

The facility originally belonged to Intertech Corp., a Greensboro manufacturer specializing in stock and custom plastic bottles. Pretium Packaging acquired Intertech in 2015, incorporating the site into its national manufacturing network.

Prior to the acquisition, Intertech expanded production capacity at the facility in 2012 to meet increasing customer demand for custom packaging containers.

Investment Reflects Confidence in Industrial Assets

New Mountain Capital is a New York-based private equity firm with investments across sectors including healthcare, software, logistics, business services and environmental services.

The Greensboro acquisition follows another industrial investment by the firm in North Carolina. In 2025, New Mountain purchased a $9 million industrial property in Asheboro occupied by plastic fabrication company Pexco.

The latest acquisition further expands the firm’s portfolio of manufacturing and industrial real estate assets.

Greensboro Industrial Market Remains Stable

The transaction comes as the Triad industrial market continues to demonstrate resilience despite moderating from earlier growth.

According to second-quarter 2026 market data, the region recorded an industrial vacancy rate of 7.1%.

Market analysts noted that although leasing activity softened slightly compared with the first quarter, demand for industrial properties remains healthy, with both local and national developers continuing to pursue investment opportunities across the Triad region.

Packaging Manufacturing Continues to Attract Investment

For the packaging industry, the acquisition underscores the continued attractiveness of established manufacturing facilities supported by long-term industrial operations.

As demand for plastic packaging and consumer packaging products remains steady, facilities with existing production infrastructure and experienced manufacturing operations continue to draw interest from institutional investors seeking stable industrial assets. The deal also reflects broader confidence in the U.S. industrial real estate market, particularly in regions with well-established manufacturing and packaging supply chains.
